the hotel was a useful base for enjoying a residential area, short walk to beach and center of cabanas where restaurants and shops are, the old town & the strip, and beach and shops. the room overlooking sea was clean. it included kitchenette.

I really got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, with a special mention to the sparkling clean toilet. The location was perfect, right in the center and just a short walk to the beach. The staff went above and beyond, especially the receptionist who made our stay even better with their helpfulness. Having a pool right outside our room was a lovely bonus too.

The only menu for breakfast improvement I would suggest is to have a wider variety of options.

The beach in Altura is absolutely stunning, with its fine sands and clear waters, offering a peaceful and tranquil setting. The hotel's traditional Portuguese architecture adds a touch of elegance and charm to the overall aesthetic. Each apartment is equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. The pool located in the center of the apartment block is pristine and provides a refreshing retreat for guests.

The air conditioner in the living room was not working.

We had a fantastic time visiting the golf courses in the surrounding area of Altura during our stay at Alagoa Azul. Just a short 10-minute drive away, we enjoyed playing at the beautiful Cacela, Tavira, and Castro Marim golf courses. The stunning views and well-maintained greens made our golfing experience truly memorable.

My children wanted more organized activities for kids at the hotel.

Personally, I found the absence of air conditioning in selected guestrooms a slight downside. But hey, some people might enjoy the authentic experience of feeling the natural breeze.

We had a very good overall experience at Alagoa Azul. the apartment was clean and comfortable, perfect for our short stay. the location was excellent, with a short walk to both the beach and the center of town. We especially enjoyed the convenience of having the apartment right next to the pool, which was a definite plus compared to other apartments on the 1st floor. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
